Escaldes-Engordany holds the 15th edition of its Textile Days, devoted to textile art, creativity and sharing knowledge. This year’s theme is «Natural Elements».

Guest artists

Anna Champeney, an artist and teacher specialising in low-warp loom weaving, gives a talk on her creative process and a practical and theoretical weaving workshop. Bistra Pisancheva, a Bulgarian artist specialising in bobbin lace with a contemporary approach, gives a lecture and a workshop. Andrea Eimke, a German artist who explores the relationship between heritage, nature and textile creation, presents her work with bark textiles and takes part in several activities.

There are exhibitions, talks, lectures and hands-on workshops, plus «Weaving memories», a workshop for people over 60, and the show MELIC by If Circus.

Sunday 18 October is the closing day, with a meeting of lacemakers, the contemporary lace contest on this year’s theme of «Natural Elements», a performance by the Esbart Santa Anna and the prize-giving.
